Recycled boat part 28
Got some timber from the tip and have stripped it into usable pieces for the keel.
The saw blade is getting a bit dull thats why the circular burn marks.
This shows what you gets for your money I have stripped the door parts off and cut one piece into parts...
Hows that two posts on the boat in the one day. I am going out to get some stainless bolts to bolt them on this afternoon. You might be lucky and get another post today. O how did your holidays go mine were good. Cheers Stewart

Recycled boat part 27
On reflexion the boat has a soft floor and seems too flexible. It is from putting the deck on the boat and placing the weight on the gunnels and this forces the bottom to bow upwards, If the seats are attached to the floor as originally the weight is spread on the floor and the bowing is less pronounced but is still there. The keel may have some rot in it. I will fit some bilge keels to strenghten the hull and attach the seats to these. So its back to the tip for more timber....So much for a cheap boat but I am enjoying the process. The bilge keels will trap air as on power catamarans and give a softer ride.It may even plain because there is less friction between the hull and the water something like a hovercraft, time will tell.
