Recycled boat part 32

Put the boat back on the trailer and the keel is straight so its back to the water for more trials.

This photo is looking along the keel the rough stuff is grass cutting stuck to a wet bottom.

These are two catamarans being built near here.

I got a comment yesterday and I feel that a reply is important to the sender so here is my reply I must say that my son Bradley and his wife wrote the reply and I thank them.

Recycled boat part 31

Having to remove the paint from the bottom of the hull for the fiberglass to stick I bought one of these wheels and they work fantastic.
This photo shows the keels being  prepared and glassed on. There is bolts going threw the hull and timbers on the inside to stop the bottom bending.

The bilge keels I think will trap air and stop it being spilled out the sides, the boat could ride on a cushion of air and give it more speed with the little engine. They will stop it being twitchy at rest.

Murrumbidgee river decimation

I got a phone call from Water Resources and they are going to do nothing about the clearing as they were only willow trees. Even so, the dragging of rippers threw the river bank to remove the roots has killed platypus who had there homes in the banks and in those willow tree roots. Then there is the echidna which were killed as well, I could not see an echidna out running a bulldozer to save its own life.I reckon the bats probably got away as they can fly.
I am fu%$#@*&^ken pissed off to say the least.
Government departments who sit on there arseholes and do nothing because they don't have the fu%$#@*&^ken balls. This was done in close vicinity to a aboriginal bora ring an aboriginal sacred site, I would not like to be the government official or the bulldozer driver when the Gadachie man comes looken for ya.You have made a monumental Gaucherie of a grand nature. The land owner has felt the force of the Gadachie man in the past as he has lost pigs, goats, chooks, cows and crops all on one of the best pieces of real estate Gundagai has to offer. Now if you were a "schooner" I recon you are on the rocks .

This is the cleared area showing gum trees to each side of the cleared area taken from the other side of the river..Note there is some willows there as well  the trees have been pushed into piles to burn adding to the carbon gases in the atmosphere...

mini tug

I took the little tug out today for a run and it performed very well. This is a photo with the roof off,  It is surprisingly hot in the cabin with the roof on.

The jetty was built by the residents in the area many years ago, This is near to where I got the recycled boat from.

I went over to the end of the point to the left of the photo. The waves were coming over the deck at the front and I stayed dry inside.. When I was coming back this bloke saw the little tug and thought she was a big one coming towards him and he waited to see it run aground and then realized it was small but not this small that's when I had the roof on.......It is very stable with the roof and was a joy to be in....

Recycled boat part 30

I am making bilge keels to go on the boat and they are shaped with a draw knife which is hanging on the timber in the above photo The compressor is from the tip and I will drive it with a washing machine motor.

They are drawn along the timber and cut the timber like a plane That's why they are called a draw knife. They are razor sharp and there is no sanding afterwards

They can be made from power hacksaw blades by solver soldering a couple of bolts on the ends and slipping a file handle over the bolt and putting a nut on to finish off. The cutting edge is the same angles as a wood chisel but longer the sharper you make them the more you have to sharpen them. They also have a draw horse to hold the timber as well

The photo above shows a draw horse in operation. You will notice a pole lathe in operation in the background the photo was taken from the net www.amberleymuseum.co.uk/exhibits/bodgers.html
Draw knives are used to make ships masts.

do as you like as the government has no money to fight cases like this

Please make a comment as this be used as a petition. cheers Stewart
It appears the government has no money to fight cases like this. So to all the little creachers,  I say sorry I tried for you. You are on your own.The best thing you can do is die in the water and poison the humans as this will effect a result in the future for the ones who might make it. Best of luck little guys. :-(  .The rest of the story is a recap of a previous post.
From this

To this in three days
The trees that have been removed are red river gum fig trees gum trees shrubs include Lilly pilly along with willow and other noxious weeds. I have made complaints about platypus getting killed and white tip river rats as well by wild dogs. I have also mentioned that there is Spotted Quoll in the area. There is echidna in the area as I have photographed them as well. Ring tail possums and normal possums abound.I was only there for two days and did not get to see if the bat colony has been removed as well, which I think it has. National parks won't do any thing as it is not a national park I know this as I have contacted them before, but it is common ground owned by the government. The common ground owned by the government is in a terrible state with black willow normal willow and black berries rife along with other noxious weeds. The third photo shows that some of the ground is an island.See previous post below environment disasters..see also barrages .
