I read every day that the financial system is in serious trouble. We are all going to have to tighten our belts and it is going to hurt.
These are facts.
One fact that is not spoken about is where has all the money gone?

CEO of a company gets 14 million salary and the company lost 40% of its income.
Australia borrows say 1 million dollars a day.
Australia gives Calathumpians 20 million aid over the next ten years.
Look I'm not any Einstein but one must know that this is unsustainable and the end of greed and free handout is going to stop. Very abruptly.
Let me say to you if your country is importing food then your country is over populated and must reduce the population to survive....
Saying that one does not want to be the one who has to go.
To stop polluting the solution is to stop breeding.

Unfair
When Google gets enough hits on advertising to have to pay you. They shut down your site and then dont allow you access to publishing, even tried to call them and they hung up. Great work Google.

Electric Jugs
I have just read the reviews for many electric jugs. In my opinion all are substandard at retaining the heat in the water.
The amount of power used can be halved if they insulated the jug. This would make them quieter as well.
The standards set by the reviewers is below standard, That is the amount of electricity to boil one liter of water is always going to be the same what differs is the amount of heat lost during and after the process.
As it stands now stainless steel is out as the amount of heat lost is unacceptable to the point of being dangerous to touch them. Plastic is much more efficient but they all could do much better.
We as consumers need to expect and set higher standards for all goods.

offensive language
As we all know Jesus was an educated man, some in life do not get that chance because of the country or the place they live in . Maybe they were poor in money. Here in Australia there was a court case bought against a man with limited vocabulary by the police, The case ran for quite some time as to the use offensive language. The court decided that it was not offensive to use the word phuck spelt with a "F"as this word is in everyday use. This word is :- a noun verb adjective pronoun and all the others.
So to answers.com and others get with the times it is here to stay and stay it will. I personally try not to use it, It is the word for the uneducated or lazy whom have no other way of expressing them selves. It is not illegal in Australia to use this word in public.

This has been modified so as not to offend wiki answers but here I will say what I like because I am the boss here.Who the phuck is this bloke Mikipedia. I have read his online resume and I know the truth! I know you have some extremely dark and weird secrets,But on the surface you are the perfect gentleman. I and God knows different. In Australia we buy bacon with that much water in it you can drink it. Like all other meats from the supermarkets all wrapt in nappies to absorb the water.

Discust
Today I say the most disgusting thing since working at the meat works. A amature fisherman caught a white sand Flathead and had the fish in a dry bucket. He went to the tables where they clean the fish before they take them home. The fish was thrown onto the table where it tried to swim. Then the fellow proceeded to scale the fish alive. I had to walk away before I vomited. Do these people not understand that this sort of cruelty is avoidable and unnecessary. If I go to the boat ramp again I will video tape any cruelty and post on utube for all to see showing the culprits face.

Making an insurance claim
I would strongly advise anyone making an insurance claim to get in contact with there solicitor as one word out of place will void the policy. Insurance policies have a section dealing with legal fees and you can also make this part of the claim and you will be covered. So use the policy as it is worded. The higher the claim the tougher it gets. Your own words can be and will be used against you. That is why they record all dealings with the public, You know that little voice before you get connected "Your call may be monitored and recorded for training purposes". Then you are put threw to a person. Sound familiar...

Evaluating insurance
Things change over time and economics of insurance change as well. Costs to the consumer of these products are going up with no perceived benefits. Costs of cars and prebuilt kit housing has come down to a point where a total rebuild is in the reaches of of say a three year pay back period. that is the wage of say 80 thousand dollars a year and the all be it small house is in the vicinity of 80 thousand dollars for a kit home placed on your property. The pay back period wold be about four years using one quarter of your income.
Bear in mind that you may not be covered for the calamity that strikes you anyway. Then if you are lucky enough to have this calamity strike and the government declares a national disaster you may be covered by a government hand out.
So how much risk are insurance companies taking? It seams not much as in my case paying for insurance for five decades and making a small claim and then not going threw with the claim because of increased policy costs and fixing the broken window myself and the other damage vandals caused whilst I was not there.
Then all the interest I could have gotten from the premiums plus the premiums would have built several houses.
Then there is the importation of kit houses from china all flat packed and prewired and erected in the same time as it takes to erect a garden shed for the cost of $10.000 for a four bedroom house.
You can get relocatable houses on EBay for similar prices. Then there is the way we use houses where the trend is smaller is better if you are to believe the small house movement.
The younger generation are giving up on home ownership because of costs and we will see a move towards traveling houses and the like. The older generation are going on the road and downsizing leaving large houses hard to sell. Smart young entrepreneurs buying large houses and turning them into duplexes.
Yes things are about to change dramatically.

Home Insurance
What are you covered for? Well not much it seams, It would be easier to tell you what you are covered for, But they are keeping that to themselves and if you try to read the policy you will be in for a shock.
Terms like we do not cover xxxx and yyyyy but if there is a local event we might cover something. They determine weather there is a local event!
If you fail to tell them something like the date or Mrs Jones cat has fleas they wont pay, because pets ain't covered at that time or date.
If it was tomorrow they will cover it but today they wont cover it.
The examples they will cover are so remote from reality they would stop the claim cause you are stretching the meaning of the policy and so are not covered on this day.
What are you covered for I don't know as to make a claim one would have to be creative and not to stretch the imagination to far. For even stretching the imagination could cancel the policy and they have the right to do this at any time so it seams. No don't expect a refund of your policy as it has run its time on cancellation.
Insurance fraudulent claims. This is interesting as you can be charged with making a false claim with penal charges laid against you. Then your policy is terminated as well.

Incompidence gets rewarded
I have seen over the years where craftsman did magical things with there tools and there minds on the jobs that they were performing. Watching an artisan working is a joy to my eyes.
These men never get promoted for they are too valuable on the shop floor which is a pity not only for the man concerned but for the company that they work for. These are the men to emulate the mentors in there fields, it is so sad that the younger generation have been dumped on by the impure and improper. Respect for the elderly has gone replaced by abuse and sometimes even violence.
How different things would be if the leaders of our countries and companies were craftsman and entrepreneurs, people with vision and integrity.
Alas this is but a dream. The below video shows this in action.

Insurance policies
Did you know that it is something like 90% of insurance policies never get claimed on. I have a insurance policy that covers landlords and the income. I asked about claiming massive damage done to one of my properties that the tenant did. Guess what I am not covered for damage done by a tenant even if the tenant burns the house down. The fences have been destroyed the shed has had the wall torn down and used for fire wood. All this timber was treated 150x 200x 500 blocks that was stacked and screwed like bricks all gone and not replaceable. Total damage bill in excess of thirty thousand dollars. I worked hard for what I have and to have the grandson of a friend of thirty years destroy it all. This was to be my retirement fund. Ducks in the bathroom bath tub and a dozen cats. The mould has destroyed the house from the inside. Then to top it off told to get off my own property.
Then there is the drug crop in the back yard and as a landlord I have been put in the position of supplying a place to cultivate and sell drugs with its jail term and the confiscation of all my property as product of crime.
I see here in this area where I live on average one house every two months gets burnt down at a huge cost to the community. All threw drug suppliers burning out the opposition. I will sell my properties and spend the money if I can cause there probably is a law against that too.

Equal pay for equal work
I remember years ago fighting for the rights of women. Great you may say well no . I also remember that the clerks and office workers were old and had limps. This was classed as light duties and this is where you were looked after. Long gone are those days now we have a woman the head of the ACTU, What trade did she do? I am told that my trade was out of date and would have to do work experience at the age of 59. What a joke to be told this by a teenage girl new in the workforce, that work experience was the go. How the times change to chucked onto the scrap heap in my prime.. I am lucky though Pension supplied by the tax payers, I am able to play at the other things I like. BOATS

Gross greed
The world economy is under stress from gross greed by he elite Ceo s who rip the guts out of public companies. Dividing up public utilities and having Ceo's on massive money tearing the guts out of the users of these monopolies. Its about time that a salary cap is placed on these jobs like they do in football. Even the salvo s have a Ceo on big money and the workers are slave labour.. Volunteers are nothing but slaves. I was even at the age of fifty five asked to do work experience that is slave labour. Think about it!!!!

I use a credit union
I got another one of those calls again offering $700 dollars of free calls on my mobile! He went on for some time and then asked how much was my phone bill and I said thousands. How much? Thousands of dollars.We can give you $700 free calls. Now he thinks he's got a live one and rattles on. So I said that's good and I would accept then he wanted my bank details and I said I don't trust them. They steal all your money. Where do you keep your money? In a safe? How much do you have ? Thousands ? In a safe ? Yes . What about my free phone calls? They cost $59 . No they are free!!! No they cost. No free I will try and if I like then I would sign up for more free phone calls for free. They are not free sir ! You said they were free! After fifteen minutes he said have a nice day sir and hung up. I use a credit union and don't have a mobile! My calls are 8 cents for anywhere in the world for as long as I like!
