Tiny house

I love those tiny houses and then thought turn it up side down so to speak. Put the bedroom underneath and the kitchen on top this would give a split leavel effect and do away with the ladder and the stairs going to the top level could be a seat. Being higher in the kitchen would give better views to the outside. Cheers to all and have an amazing years to come. Iggle

Water mills design

We did some work on cross flow water turbines and one of the common mistakes is to put the electrical part of the generating system below or level with the wheel.
Place the electric above the wheel away from the water, water falls and placing the generator above the wheel keeps it dry . Hope this helps some one...

Windows

If you make your windows about twelve inches wide intruders cannot fit threw the broken glass hole lift behind.
Make the windows non opening and use sections of the wall that open to allow for air movement one at the extreme top of the building and the other at the extreme bottom on the opposite side of the building and the air flow will cool the occupants.
Windows and shutters set up this way will allow for a chimney effect, screens can be placed over the shutter openings and do not restrict the view.
This leaves the windows for looking out of. Then there is the added bonus of having to make only one frame to hold the window glass not three, first hole to hold the say metal frame the metal frame to hold the sliding frame to hold the window.

floating floors

I have just laid a floating floor and it is easy. Do all the painting in the house and then put in the kitchen cupboards if you are changing these followed up by the floating floor then the skirting boards in this order. The floor is the last surface to be installed before the skirting boards as damage from paint tools and moving things can scratch the floors. I have just finished putting in a floating floor in my house and all you need to do the job is a Triton saw table small hammer and the special tool which is about twenty dollars. Before you try to put the pieces of flooring together with force use dry soap or candle wax on the joints as this will allow them to slip together easily.  Remember that it is all common sense which seems lacking these days, doesn't matter if you are building a house boat or barn.

Friends

I get lots of invitations become friends on the computer and I do not join things like grouply face book or any other place. These are good sites if you want that. My son was asked to be a friend to someone who I knew on face-book,  I advised him not to and my hunch proved to be correct and I will spare you the details.  I just don't have the time.  If you do want to be my friend then drop me a comment and your email address will not be posted and I will get back to you. I do have contact with Chuck from Duckworks but he is not in contact with me every day, I would contact him more than he contact me. locus control

Locus control can be done with ten meter high bright green fences made from shade cloth. When the swarms hit the fence, insect spray is then immediately sprayed on the little critters as they try to eat the cloth. The cloth would have to be fastened to the ground to stop them going under the cloth. There it is for free to use. This would be used to protect crops. This fence would have to be a quick erect fence to hit the swarms on flat ground where the fences could be erected in minutes by a crew of men specially trained to do the job like a racing car pit crew.  The cloth would have to be green of a special colour to attract the locus in flight. makin money

So you want to make money! Best get some rubbish and turn it into cash. How you might ask? Ive been thinking about one of the most disgusting bits of rubbish you can think of. Shitty disposable nappies. Lets look at what you can do with them. There good qualities Shit and piss, makes good fertilizer. Then there is the nappier itself made to absorb water lots of water  a built in dam. Fertilizer and water under the ground plants will love them as a starter pack. They are to be had for free by the thousands.

 You can buy at the nurseries fertilizer by the bag and nitrogen by the bag and its expensive. Then you can buy water absorbant pads to put in pot plants to keep them moist and these are expensive and it is the same stuff in nappies to absorb the urine. Now if some enterprising chap or lass were to put the two together he would be on a winner. So there it is for free.

power tools

Power tools are easier used when the leads are cut short, You don't have to bend down to find the two ends and plug them together. If you really want to speed things up a hook can be placed in a convenient place for the extension lead end to fit into. Manufactures could make the fittings directly into the tool and do away with the lead altogether.All tools would benefit from this especially saws as the lead would not catch half way through cutting the bottom of a door lets say. I use yellow leads so they can be seen which is different from the power tool leads which are black or gray.

Warrants

The police are overwhelmed with trying to get criminals who don't pay there fines for various offenses some of them serious. Most of these criminals are on benefits of some sort paid by the tax payer. What would stop this waste of time and resources would be if the Police could notify the social security and a stop payment was ordered. Then the criminal would have to get a docket signed at the police station to get back on the system. Hey no looking for them they would come in on there own account. Money time and resources saved simple. Wont happen too simple for the simpletons in charge.
