Fires in the bush

I am posting this photo and I was wondering how the hole got there. It seems to be a laser hole.
Trees that have been hit with a lightening strike will not burn. I have been bought up in the bush from child hood and I have never seen this type of activity before.

What has changed?

It has been some time since the fires that decimated a lot of Australia.
The area has changed to what was normal for a bush fire.
The most significant is the smell and it had me stumped for some time.
There is no smell, there is no flies there is no ants. I saw one spider and he  was walking across the ground which is just bizarre for a funnel web.
It hurts that much to see the devastation.................................

Hell on earth

Just got back from Talbingo where the fires crossed a dam a distance of over a mile. The fire turned into fire balls and crossed the dam at speeds of 1000 k/h. Fire fighters are suffering mental illness from the experiences. The fires wre burning 20 meters above the tree line. I drove for several hours across the Kosciusko national park to Cooma. Every thing flattened Kiandra totally gone. It was enough to make a grown man cry. I too who spoke to several people today have been left scared by there stories. Only saw a hand full of kangaroos and about 10 brumbies at long plain hut road. One tree lopper said they were accused of stealing trees they were cutting down by National Sparks and Wildfires. We never saw any timber trucks with native logs on them. Stood on a bush ant nest and jumped and there was no ants. Some trees are burning below ground.When I can I will post photos .

time to heal

When betrayed by your partner of 30 years tears flow and friends leave and then you have nothing. Nothing at all just your old worn out clothes and shoes,The kids stayed because they were too young to leave. Then the reality sets in when everything you worked for is sold for a pittance of what you paid for it.
Even your own family sees you as a looser and stop talking to you, been over 20 years now not even a phone call "how are you"!
Finally the youngest leaves with nothing to live for except your self. Then the murder of your oldest son nothing left lots of tears and the only place to live is your sons house that they bought for you and  put in for together.
Four hours away from them knowing no one at all.
Then I meet the hardware man Peter the local high school teacher retired Brian and a retired farmer Donny. Along with these came there families beautiful people. Unforgettable people.
Being burnt out and having nothing would be worse animals gone memories just grey ash on the ground. Then the gawkers and the Evil Insurance companies who find a way not to give you anything.They use things like Arson pre-existing conditions. Yes every one has Dewalt tools hope you had photos of everything on the computer in a cloud. You are treated like a criminal I was virtually accused of causing a flood when the river at Gundagai flooded. Then lost all my tools at another house that was flooded whilst I was away repairing the Gundagai place. This was caused by council not cleaning the streets of rubbish that blocked the drains. Then the price hike in insurance from 500 to 3000. Fuck insurance and all the charities red cross and government blood suckers.
I showed them I got up again but to do it again never.
Love all the friends that I have not meet yet and the ones who stayed.
God just give me strength.

Science is so much fun.

Playing with science is just so much fun.
Watching and learning, light a fire and watch how the wood behaves and where the fire actually burns is better than watching days of our lives or any other sitcom for that matter.
How people are so dumb is pretty amazing to watch as well.
Try just sitting somewhere and just watch. You can learn so much about your neighbourhood by laying under a car at night. sounds travel easily at ground level and you hear what is happening 200 meters up the street.
I recon the next best job would be a post deliverer, but I am stuck with engineering.
Could you imagine the havoc you could do being a postie.  HAHAHA Just thinking.

Fighting geoengineering

We have been banned for lighting back yard fires in Australia. I think it has to do with pushing cold air into the stratosphere and stuffs up with weather modification.No more bonfire nights like we had as a kid. I lit a fire some years ago and it blew a hole in a cloud about 200 meters across and expanded and it rained the following morning.
I might try putting a fan with water vapour into the air stream near the next fire the results could be amazing.
I went to a night out in a park in Parramatta and with all the bodies the cloud got a hole in it above the people,I think the body heat punched a hole in the cloud like a fire.
How are they going to control heat from there supper cities of the future?

Clear skies

For the last weeks the ski is filled with smoke, a dismal grey brown and the knowing of suffering.I will take photos of the aftermath in the next weeks. There are quite a few towns that do not exist anymore Batlow the apple producing area lost processing plant fuel and the orchids that they rely on for survival. There are too many to mention Tumbarumba Kiandra just in the Kosciusko area. Selwyn lost everything. The people will suffer
Thousands of homes gone the south east of the continent blackened.
Albatross naval station blackened but saved by the RFS.
It is so emotional and this is from a bloke who has pulled people out of wrecked cars and worked in coal mines. in extreme danger.
SO SAD.

ecology disaster in Australia

•  Fire is an ecology disaster right now the bottom 1/4 of Australia is on fire.The fire stretches from Newcastle north of Sydney to Adelaide and Melbourne and inland to Canberra Waggawagga and Albury its burning from the Victorian high country to the plains. both sides of the Murray River.  The trees are already at 48 degrees and are half way to burning, leaves are falling adding to the fuel load....
Temperatures in a roof cavity are probably over 150 degrees this is why buildings burnt with in minutes.

Air brakes on fire trucks

Some years ago working with the late Alex Revel we examined why trucks stopped in fire situations.
It turned out the air brake hoses melted and burnt threw instantly locking the brakes on.
The solution was to protect the hoses with insulation and armoured with stainless steel outer coat.
These were tested  and were able to withstand 1000 degrees for ten minutes and that was all that was needed.
If fire trucks do not have these fitted then the government is seriously broken.

Yesterday the sky temp went off the scale that is over 100 degrees c on my machine.
Saturday they are forecasting worse conditions but I think the air temperature is no where as hot and the ground temperature is no where near the sixty mark. So I am thinking the worst is over in Nowra.

What is the % of carbon (smoke)in the air explodes? It will not explode it will burn as a fire ball and will burn over thousands of miles all at once.

Still waiting good thing is it is 13 degree air temp and 18 degree ground temperature.
Good thing for me is the temp is going to be low tomorrow.
The fires should pass tomorrow but Saturday we are in for 41 degree temps.

The sky is grey with smoke haze and a light wind from the south.
Earlier today the wind changed direction and the wind went to 100/kph in seconds  and embers came from the skies. The wind was gusting and changing direction by the second. Then came the thunder and rain that came down as mud balls. The ground dried up in seconds and the wind slowed and came from the south.
This is not climate change it is muddy rain which I have never seen before in my life.
The main trouble is all the government is broken bureaucrats and politicians are broken.
Just spoke to a firefighter from Victoria and he is no longer a serving fire fighter and they will not let him help along with my self who went threw black Friday fires in Wollongong in 1967.

Lake Alexandria

I have spoken before about barrages and the way they are used.
I am going to step out on a ledge here and predict the future.
From know facts Lake Alexandria in South Australia is doomed and will turn into a open sewer in the next 5 years.
Any water that falls on the lands above the lake or is used by farms is ultimately returned to the river.

Watering Australia

Clean desalinated water should be pumped inland at say Brisbane to flow into the inland waterways.
Knowing how to desalinate the water is the secret and I am not going to say how but it can be done at a fractional cost of 'today's technology.
To let out the secret would be like running a car on water and I in particular like to live.
I will say Australia needs to have a special university for back yard tinkerers so they can come together to share ideas and secrets and not to be threatened by the status quo that is multi national companies.

side effects of weight loss

I am down to 91 kilos and losing more.
There is side effects of these losses.
I will list just a few My clothes don't fit me anymore and this will have a effect on my bank balance.
My head does not like the changes and a constant headache is in order. I get aches I did not know I had until the weight loss Its like my imagined body does not fit the real body.
Overall I feel better for it and people I have known for ages now make comment.
Blood pressure is down 128/68 and 61 beats a minute.
Who knows what my cholesterol is and really I do not care.
Seeing doctors places undue strain on the nerves and if I was to listen to them may be I might be dead in 5 years like I was told if I did not take his stations.

Good rule of thumb .
1/ If you can not pick it peal it or shoot it don't eat it.
2/ if it has a label on it telling you what it is don't eat it.

Driving a car for 50 years

I remember when I started to drive every day I uased to have to clean the windscreen and radiator of the car of insects.
We even made fly screen to cover the radiator as the dead bodies corroded the radiator.
Now days I can drive for months and not have to clean the windscreen. Even at night no insects.
Is it climate change or petrochemical companies the main reasons for the problem.
One might think petrochemicals for the problem.
The only insects on the increase is mosquitoes and the reason for this is irrigation and the constant changes in river heights. Cattle wank to the water and leave foot prints and these fill up with water and thus the increase in mosquitoes and Ross river fever.
I find the funny thing is people freak over cockroaches but the real one should be afraid of is the mosquitoes. No one seems to know the real dangers....

Over weight part 3

Well the weight is falling off I am down to 91.7
No side effects time will tell...I think the secrets are eat animal fats. Definitely no trans fats or mono unsaturated fats.
If it comes in a packet with a list of unknowns don't eat it.
I am Off all medications.
Feet are healing up from 50 years of fungus infections.
Generally I am feeling great and sleep well.

The answer. You breath out the fat in the form of carbon dioxide.
So to lose weight all you have to do is breathe.
Exercise keeps the body in good shape.
If you reduce the toxic foods going into your body then the body has time to remove the fats threw breathing.
If you contaminate the body with chemicals of all sorts the the body can not perform.
My god made me with out introduced chemicals and a built in repair system that does a fine job if I feed it good foods.

Bearing failure

I replaced two wheel bearings on a car and both bearings failed at the same time.
I had to examine what happened ,these were sealed bearings and the work was carried out in the usual way with a press and dollies. The work went well and the wheels turned with out sound and were verry free. drive test showed no problems and the car was released to the owner. I did follow ups on the car and all was well.
Nine months later the bearing started to hum and I knew there was a problem.This noise has got so bad vibrations could be felt in the steering wheel. the car was taken to another person to have them replaced.
I asked a friend of mine what would cause such a failure, his reply shocked me! He had two bearings go at the same time and he put it down to cheep knock off bearing from china with all the marking of a good bearing. They were bought from a trusted source and when his bearings failed they snapped the axils with expensive replacements of not only the bearings but also the axils.
Australia needs to up date the laws or someone will die from this.
Some years ago I had a grease gun explode and reported it to the labour industry and they wanted to fine me for not using a reputable brand. Forget the safty aspect that was never an issue to them.

Came out one door of the emergency and went straight back in the entrance,Took all of 2 seconds.

When you do things differently.

Well the weight is falling off. I had concerns poop changed colour to black and that is a sign of bleeding. So off to the experts for a queery. Then it started blood tests and more blood tests, I am they recons Im now dying stomach ulcers you name it.
Doctors rang me they found blood and booked me in for a colonoscopy specialists and more. So I go down to get a script and then they had me. I was now having a heart attack and an ambulance was called and off to the local hospital more blood tests and 6 hours monitoring They put one of those cathitor tubes in my hand. You know the whole bit Now Im scared Im dying and then given the all clear. So out comes the needle in my hand a bit of cotton wool and Im ready to go.
I makes it to the waiting room and I feels me fingers getting warm I look down and the blood is squirting out the needle hole. Blood all over  the room I hold my hand up and the triage nurse sees me, no waiting this time straight back in the hand is patched and Im on my way for the second time.
I had a 20 minute walk home in the rain. So I recons that was more weight loss that I can credit myself for.
Morel of the story is :- keep away from doctors they gang up on you
Come to think there is 2 morels of the story:- keep away from fast food outlets as that is where it started in the first place.

Over weight and sick part2

I will tell you another yarn.
If you read lie and the truth from a previous post its much like overweight and sick.
I am still overweight and sick,but there is a difference and there is still some way to go. The weight is going I still eat and I still sometimes make the wrong choices, but I am not living a lie
I have one shirt that used to be tight on me and now it's loose. Great! Then my friend said it has stretched out of shape. MMMMM She then weighed me and said if it is less next time you are winning. The reading was 98.4 . Four days later I went into a shop and stood on some scales 97.7 that to me is a .7 loss in 4 days.
Now I have some real results.
In conclusion to this part eating lard which is fat does not make you fat.
The jury is still out on trifats and mono unsaturated fats. Feed lot animals may have chemicals in them but this is another story...

Over weight and sick.

I put on the kilos and the blood pressure went threw the roof. Pressure went over 200 and I knew I had to do something.
In a month I HAVE THE PRESSURE DOWN TO 144 AND THE WEIGHT IS FALLING OFF ME.
First you need to know where does the fat go to in weight loss?
Then you need to know where does the blood pressure come from?
I should make this a series of posts but I won't because there are a lot of you who want answers.
I retired some years back and the weight slowly came upon me at a rate of up to 20 grams a week. I ate the biscuits and the cups of tea. I was the one to blame, end of story.
Where does the weight go?
What you eat and goes straight threw was never part of you In the front door out the back if you get the drift.
What stays is part of you now.
You breathe to get oxygen and breath out CO2.
Carbon is chemically treated waste from the body along with urine.
So what I am saying is you breathe out fat,treated fat.
So to reduce weight all you have to do is breathe.
Now it does not stop there there is good fat and bad fat, you need to eat the good fat.Now here is the good news eating fat does not make you fat. Your brain needs fat to function.
Bear with me here it confuses me sometimes.
I eat every thing I used to eat with some small changes,Sweet potatoes instead of potatoes.Remove all seed oils from your diet and replace with lard which is saturated fat.
If you have to read a ingredients list or have to be a rocket scientist to understand the labels don't eat it.
Its quite simple shop round the outside of your supermarket that's where all the good stuff is.
Remove all bread and milk and milk products. Sorry no pizza's
I think I have covered the food  and the weight so now for the blood pressure.
