This is my old mate Donny the owner of the famous race horse Sanjapaddy,the sun was shining and we went to the rubbish tip and Donny said you could furnish a house from here . So I thought it could be done so went about it because Donny got a bit giddy so I got a chair for him to sit on, He said carpet would be good and the carpet was found and another chair for me. He said the cricket was on and he said a bit of telly might go good and a table and TV were found as well, A wind break was fashioned and a smoke detector was placed in the tree above him pots and pans and there it is home sweet home. Then this lady came to the tip and was asking Donny what he was doing and he said waiting for the cricket to come on! Pity we didn't have electricity but if I looked hard enough I would have found that too....cheers Stewart

lies taken from a web site on solar energy

wow using energy when power is turned off? don't believe everything that is spruked off about in the media and the Internet....this is how it read

"unplug devices that are always using electricity, such as cell phone chargers or computers. A startling fact is that on average, 75% of electricity consumed by home appliances is when they are turned off."

This was written by a person who says you can make your own solar panels for one hundred dollars.
There is a lot of work assembling a panel and if one connection brakes the panel wont work.
Do you have the equipment to work out where the brake is?
Started small an got bigger with the things Ive done over many years .
I myself would not entertain building a grid interactive solar system as the problems can be immense. By all means have a go at making a panel...make a smaller panel first to charge batteries or light an area at night , and with experience you learn, you can go on to bigger things . My blogspot started small and grew slowly so did the things we made. cheers Stewart

Solar hot water heater is made from an old keg that I got from the rubbish tip for $5 and the pannel cost two dollars.All up with plumbing it was about $50.The keg is insulated with old carpet.Another way would be to put the keg into an old fridge with a glass sheet instead of the door.Paint the keg black and put alimiumn foil on the inside of the fridge, paint the outside of the fridge black, face it to the sun and wolla batch solar heater..cheers Stewart

I was down at the national park yesterday and asked the ranger about fishing and water sports and was told what was ok and not ok the photos speak for them selves, It is a joke when you see people raping the wildlife off the rocks and from the water. Now this is a national park and they do nothing and they do nothing about the platypus on the river banks.  So what do they do?????????O collect money!!!!!!! No jet skis no fishing bullschit......

I reads on the net that people are getting clogged up with Teflon and thought! How about we go back to the not so old days when we cooked in cast iron pots. You says that they rust and are hard to keep clean and they rust. This is right if you screw it up. My best pot came from the rubbish tip and was full of rust and needed to be cleaned! The cleaning process took about two minutes on the camp fire and was heated and quenched in the river and walla all the rust was gone. Now comes the tricky bit place the pot in the fire and heat up, while this is happening mix up some of your favorite oil or fat (Dripping) then an egg is added and placed in the pot. Stir the contents of the pot and even paint the outside of the pot with the oil and fat with the egg mixture while it is still hot. Now it gets tricky here and this will go against all cooking ideas about being clean, you burn the schit out of the bustard and then quench it in the river again, If any schit left in the pot you gets some sand and gravel from the river bank and you use this to clean the pot and give a final rinse in the water. Now you have a non stick pot that won't rust. Repeat the process above if necessary.

Going back and photographing you get to see the differences and to know what is happening. The water has fallen and you see the erosion on the banks in the first photo.

 The second photo shows the piles of wood that have been burnt releasing hundred tons of co2 to the atmosphere. You will also note they the soft woods have burnt and the gums are left behind, this is because they take longer to dry out. So much for the government departments saying there was only willows dozed out. They didn't even go and have a look and if they did they didn't know what they were looking at. Maybe money talks.

The third photo shows that there was wildlife there as this is a freshly dug wombat's burrow.

Automotive murder

I looks at the News and sees that four people died in a cars smash in Canberra,and the passenger in that car that ran the red light is still alive. Remember that the car was doing over two hundred klm /hour. This being the case then the joker who was driving the car followed by the police was probably on bail for some other Indictable offense. (felony in the USA)

Now if this being the case,

 I would advise the relatives of the car that got smashed into to take out a summons to have the person who let this joker out of prison or out on bail be charged with aid and abet with the murder of there family members. The person you look at would probably be a magistrate as the police wanted him behind bars and didn't get there way. Now if you get a goal term and do one third of the sentence you can be let out on good behavior early. Now if this was also the case then again, I would have the persons who let him out charged with aid and abet the murder of those family members. The sheila who was in the car with this joker I would have her charged with aid and abet with the murder of those family members as well if she lives.

The trouble is that the police do not have any credibility or authority as they are undermined by slack magistrates and councilors who feel sorry for these jokers. Well I feel sorry for the families of the dead ones who get a life time sentence for doing nothing wrong. I also feel for the families of the perpetrator's of these crimes.

On the 14/11/09 I was building a stove and had trouble with it smoking and not drawing,With some modifications it is working great so here is the final posting on the stove. The photo above shows the fire alight note the large timber in the fire.

Well its been a while and the results are in and it amazes me what nature can do.Weeds and more weeds. Deadley night shade is plofirating by the millions.
Willows are reestablishing them selves. The poor old red gums are gone.
I have compared these photos with the previous ones and it appears there is about twenty feet of the bank gone.
I guess the photos will speak for them selves.

This may or may not have happened

I do not want to be locked up for spilling the beans about Australia's national security so this may be fiction and maybe its not just maybe.
I was at the rubbish tip and found some government documents labeled as classified top security so as any good honest bloke would do I read them. To my surprise the were talking about watering the west of the country in the most dramatical way. It involved the largest infrastructure since the second world war. They are going to acquire land, and there will be no way anyone will complain as they are going to introduce legislation, to sort the problem and if any one goes against it they will be jailed as a traitor. This is real heavy stuff....now the proposal is to flood the inland sea with sea water and to do this they will dig a canal to lake Eyre in South Australia and this will have the positive effect of lowering the sea level all over the world. It is to be done as a green project and the canal will produce hydro electricity with the tide fluctuations. The result is to lower the temperature of the surrounding lands as the winds pick up the water and green the desert. It will be argued that they are putting the sea back where it belongs. As I stated in one of my previous blogs about the iron ore being taken from the Australian continental plate and this floating higher and the result is earth quakes of the type as never seen before, they intend to sink the continental plate with the weight of the sea water ..Sounds logical to me.

	The Platypus The platypus is found in eastern Australia. They live aside freshwater rivers or lakes, and create burrows for shelter and protection. They are active mainly at nighttime hours, and use their webbed feet for swimming. When swimming the platypus has its eyes shut. They swim underwater for 2 minutes, before returning to the surface for oxygen. They can however stay underwater for up to 10 minutes, and due to their natural buoyancy, they need to be underneath another object to do this. The Platypus has a wooly furred coat and range from 30cm to 45cms in length and the tail about 10 to 15 cms. The wooly furred coat actually has three different layers. The first layer keeps the animal warm, by trapping air, the second layer which provides an insulating coat for the animal, and lastly the third layer of long flat hairs to detect objects close by. These creatures weight on average between 1 to 2.4 kilograms. They have an average lifespan of 12 years. This lifespan may be shortly diminished, as the platypuses biggest threats are snakes, goannas, rats and foxes. Another big threat to the platypus is man, via waterway pollution or land clearing.		Platypuses feed on insect larvae, worms or other freshwater insects. They do so mainly at night, by the use of their bill. They turn up mud on the bottom of the lake or river, and with the help of their electroreceptors located on the bill, find many insects and freshwater insects. They store their findings in special pouches behind their bill, and are consumed upon returning to the surface. Amazing Fact: Platypuses can consume their own body weight in food in a 24 hour period! Male platypus are larger than the female. They reproduct by mating which occurs once a year, between June - October. The female lays between 2 - 4 eggs and incubates these for a two week period. When a young platypus is born, they feed from milk from the mother. The mother secretes this milk from large glands under the skin, the young platypus feed from this milk which ends up on the mothers fur. If you thought this was a cute and cuddly Australian animal, well, you are only half correct. The male platypi have a hollow spur about 15 milimetres in length on the inside of both hind legs. This in turn is connected to a venom gland, and the platypus uses this spur to defend itself against predators.  Amazing Fact: The male platypus has venom strong enough to can kill a small dog, or cause excruciating pain among humans. Since only the male platypus has this venomous spur, and the gland peaks during mating season, many suggest it is normally used in aggressive encounters between other male platypus. A baby platypus is not called a puggle, which seems to be a common misconception. There is no official name for a baby platypus, but a common suggested name is "platypup".
